Lost Forever?


"SHADOW!" Shouted Amy, "What are you doing here?"
Amy and Sonic sat frozen on the blanket watching as the red and black hedgehog emerged from the darkness.

"I dont to answer myself to you...cheater!" He snarled at her.

"Hey don't you talk to her like that" Sonic stood up in protest, the sudden move shocked Amy, she didnt have an idea what had or was happening.

"Amy it was Shadow who set your house on fire the other night...He saw us together in your house and the fire was his way of revenge" Sonic said calmly whilst watching Shadow in his fighting stance.

Sonic saw Amy dart past him with her piko piko hammer screaming at Shadow, he couldnt stop her.

"How dare you!! I lost everything i owned in that fire...And why? because some petty hedgehog is jelous?" Amy screamed at the top off her lungs, she went to knock Shadow out with er hammer but Shadow was too fast as he hit her.

"AMY!!" Sonic yelled as he watched in horror the breath fly out of Amy as she fell into the middle of the lake unconcious!

Sonic ran to the edge of the lake forgetting Shadow was still present. There was nothing he could do!

"ARRGH" Sonic yelled as Shadow punched him from behind.

He landed on his front with his face in the water.
He quickly jumped up and attacked Shadow

"Ive got to do this fast so i can save Amy...She wont last long in that lake" Sonic thought to himself whilst pushing the idea of Amy dieing to the back of his mind.

Finally one of Sonics punches hit Shadow square in the stomach, Shadow flew back into a tree as Sonic carried on attacking.

Eventually Sonic stopped and let Shadow drop to the floor, though Shadow quickly came back and kicked Sonic in the back.

Though after he did his communicator functioned and Eggman spoke through the speaker.

"Shadow get back here as soon as possible!" Eggman ordered and with that Shadow dissapeared in to thin air.

Sonic slowly jumpedtohis feet and stood by the lake's edge.

He thought back to when Tails had tried to teach him to swim.
He had never gotten as far as swimming underwater before, he just couldnt stand the feeling off being stuck without air.

But he had to do this for Amy she had been under for at least 2 and a half minutes.

Bravely he stood in the lake so the water was up to his waist, he could feel his heart beat pounding hard against his chest his breathing got shorter.

He took one deep breath and dived head first into the center of the lake.

The water soaked his quills making him nervous as he forced his eyes open to see.

"Just keep kicking, thats what Tails always said" Sonic thought kicking his way through the water.

He saw a sparkle lieing on the bottom of the lake's floor, Sonic reached out and grabbed Amy he then kicked off from the bottom of the lake and kicked feircly.

"Almost there! almost there!" Sonic thought as his lungs burned with the pain of having to oxygen.

His head crashed through the surface of the lake and he struggled to the side with Amy lieing limply in his arms.

He gently put her down on the blanket and waited to see the rise and fall of her chest.

There was nothing, Sonic started to panic.

"NO no I was to late!" Sonic thought "Come on Amy breathe"

He took a deep breath and blew into Amy's mouth he repeated that twice then placed his hands on her chest and pushed sharply trying to restart her heart beat.

Nothing happened and Sonics heart fluttered in fear of losing her.

He tried giving her the kiss of life again and as he broke from her he held his head in his hands.

"She cant be gone" He said out loud

*Cough* *cough*

Amy was coughing up water tryig to clear her windpipe which made Sonic jump.

"Amy your ok" He shouted as he helped her sit up and take in deep breaths.

She smile at him and weakly lay back down on the blanket.

"Wheres Shadow?" She whispered weakly.
Sonic placed a finger on her lips "Amy dont talk just breathe deeply, Ill take care of you"

He noticed that she was shivering violently so he picked up the corners of the blanket and wrapped her up.

He then scooped her up into his arms holding her close, scared of losing her again and ran.

He couldnt see what was passing him because of his speed but he knew where he was going, he looked every few seconds at Amy's chest making sure she was still with him.

He stopped at a small house on a cliff top, "Home sweet home" He chucked to himself not taking in any of its features.

He walked threw the front door and into his bedroom placing Amy on the bed, still wrapped in the blanket.

She had fallen asleep in Sonic's arms but her clothes were soaked through.

Sonic went to his drawers and opened the 2nd one the see an assortment of t-shirts.

"I dont see why people buy me these things, its not like i ever wear them!" He thought picking up a large blue t-shirt.

He managed to rumble up some white shorts and placed them on the bed besides Amy.

He watched her sleep for a few minutes, he liked how peaceful she looked wrapped up in the huge blanket.

He needed to change Amy into dry clothes but he didnt want to violate her in any way, so he dried her best he could with the blanket and slipped the blue t-shirt over her red vest, then stuggled as he tried to slip her vest off.

Then he slipped the shorts under her skirt and pulled down her skirt so she was left in dry shorts and T-shirt.

He pulled off her shoes and gloves and did so to himself.

Happy with what he had done, he picked Amy up again and put her under the heavy quilt in Sonic's bed.

He moved Amy's things to the corner of the room then sank into bed next to her.

He kissed her on the forehead and fell asleep within seconds.
